CT Scanner
Help us raise $2M to “bring a state-of-the-art” CT Scanner
to the Whistler Health Care Centre
The Whistler Health Care Foundation has committed $2 million to support Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) in replacing the CT Scanner at the Whistler Health Care Centre (WHCC).
Originally funded by the Foundation in 2010, the current scanner is now aging. A new, next-generation system will deliver greater precision, faster diagnoses, and expand the range of care that can be provided locally.
CT scanning is essential in emergency care, with more than 7,500 scans performed each year at the WHCC. It is a critical tool used daily to save lives, diagnose serious conditions and manage ongoing health needs.
“This is an important powerful tool that we use every day to save lives, diagnose critical ailments, and also manage diseases in our community.” Dr. Fern von der Porten, Medical Director of the Whistler Health Care Centre.
