We have reached our CT Scanner Replacement Campaign goal.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we’ve reached our goal to replace the CT scanner at the Whistler Health Care Centre. This fall, a new state-of-the-art CT scanner will be installed, helping ensure local patients have access to advanced diagnostic imaging close to home.
The Whistler Health Care Foundation has committed $2 million to support Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) in replacing the CT Scanner at the Whistler Health Care Centre (WHCC).
Originally funded by the Foundation in 2010, the current scanner is now aging. A new, next-generation system will deliver greater precision, faster diagnoses, and expand the range of care that can be provided locally.
CT scanning is essential in emergency care, with more than 7,500 scans performed each year at the WHCC. It is a critical tool used daily to save lives, diagnose serious conditions and manage ongoing health needs.
