Vision
To assist Whistler in becoming a role model for physical and mental health care in a resort community. 

Mission
Advocating for, and financially assisting in the provision of health care services, facilities, and equipment within the Sea to Sky Corridor to benefit the residents of, and visitors to Whistler. 

Our History

The Whistler Health Care Foundation is a non-profit society founded in 1994. The Foundation was first founded to manage the $250,000 surplus fundraising dollars from the successful fundraise for the Whistler Healthcare Centre in 1994. 

The Foundation’s initial mandate was to raise additional funds to support the Whistler Health Care Centre. As such, the foundation began to build on its established donor base to organize fundraising events and access grants to reach annual goals to supplement capital funds provided by various levels of government.  

Over time the Foundation’s mandate was revised to include all of Whistler as well as other health care related facilities, groups and services in the Sea to Sky Corridor that benefit residents and visitors to Whistler. 

The Foundation collaborates closely with staff at Whistler Health Care Centre, community physicians, local government and with appropriate representatives of the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority, the primary administrative organization for health care in our area.

Our Board

The Whistler Health Care Foundation is a volunteer board with representatives from the community, council, and Whistler Health Care Centre. Part-time staff support our activities. Each and every one of them brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organization.

The Chairman's Circle 

The Chairman’s Award was developed to recognize the top supporters of the Whistler Health Care Foundation. When developed, it was decided that the board would award this recognition to individuals, organizations or companies whose support of the foundation is over and above. This person/organization is recognized as a key member in the success of the foundation.
