2024 Hike for Health

We are excited to announce that this year’s Hike for Health raised over $103,000. Thank you to everyone for supporting the WHCF’s third annual Hike for Health. A total of 217 hikers joined us and we had 50 TRAILBLAZERS  supporters (individuals, families and businesses that donated $500 to $10,000).  Together, we are going to make a significant impact in improving the mental health of our community.

We could not have done this without our host sponsor, Whistler Blackcomb, our event sponsor, The Touchet Family, and our many volunteers!  Thank you!

2024 Get Moving Challenge

Come join us for the month of January and get yourself moving into the new year!

The Whistler Health Care Foundation has joined forces with Back in Action Physiotherapy & Massage to host the first annual Get Moving Challenge from January 1 – 31 this year. The challenge was to move 50 km in any way that suits you (run, walk, snowshoe, swim, roll, skate, cross country ski, row….) while raising money for the physiotherapy assistance programs run by the WCSS. Thanks to everyone who participated we raised over $9,000! All money raised assisted those facing financial barriers in accessing essential physiotherapy assistance as they recover from injury and get back to work and play.

2023 Hike for Health

Thank you to everyone who supported the 2nd annual Hike for Health. Together, we raised more than $86,000! We are very grateful to everyone who came out on a cool (snow-dusted!) day to hike the Ascent Trail.  All proceeds will go to the Dr. Rob Burgess Primary-Care Fund and supporting the amazing efforts of Whistler 360 Health to improve access to primary care services in Whistler.

The event would not have been possible without the support of our event sponsor, The Touchet Family and event partner ‘Whistler Blackcomb’ Thank you!

New this year was the TRAILBLAZER donor program. A huge thanks to everyone who donated between $500 and $10,000 to help improve access to primary care in Whistler. We are very grateful for your support!

2022 Hike for Health

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported our first annual Hike for Health.  Together we raised over $75,000 for the Whistler Health Care Foundation.

Kudos to the Touchet Family and Whistler Blackcomb for their support from Day 1.

25th Anniversary Fundraiser

On Nov 27th, 2019 the Foundation celebrated its 25th Anniversary by holding a fundraiser at the Bearfoot Bistro. The event, with the theme “A touch of silver” and entertainment by The Hair Farmers, was a great success. Over 215 people attended, and together we raised over $125,000 towards the Trauma Room Upgrade project.

No Show Ball

In 2020 during covid, we held a No Show Ball to raise funds for the Trauma Room Upgrade Project at the Whistler Health Care Centre.   The ball raised over $50,000 for the project and this helped jump start the Foundations largest capital fundraising campaign to date.
